My Summer Skin Care Routine

Skin care routines can be difficult and repetitive. Finding the right essentials needed for your skin type and also seeking some that are reasonably priced can be overwhelming. I went through a stage where I felt like some products simple were just ineffective when really I only used them for a day or two and was expecting the products to clear my face overnight. Now I know that in order to judge a product I have to use it for a few months or until I’m done with the bottle and then see if it showed any improvements or made things worse. I love to try out new products and I have no permanent products that I use. My routine shifts pretty easily depending on how long my current products last or if something catches my eye while I am out shopping or maybe what I am currently using just isn’t cutting it anymore.

Recently, I have been using these current products and I am happy with them. They do the job for me and my skin seems to show it. I am always looking for new cool products but for now these are my go to’s.

Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Cleanser:

I’ve been using this cleanser for the past few weeks and so far it has not disappointed. The product leaves my skin so smooth and fresh without ever drying my skin. I tend to have dry skin and most all of the cleansers I have used in the past make my skin so patchy and dry that I have to use extra strength moisturizers. So far I have no patchiness and I enjoy the fresh face feel I get afterwards. It is not a life changing product, for me at least, but it definitely gets the job done and I enjoy how foamy the soap gets. This cleanser is very affordable and you can get it at Walmart for only $6.99.

Freeman Polishing Charcoal Gel mask & Scrub:

My mom initially bought this for my brother but I snagged it from him. I fell in love with this product because it leaves my face so soft afterwards. It can apply harsh to the skin because it contains black sugar but once you rinse it off the results are immediate. I love applying my moisturizers afterwards because my skin is extremely soft. The best part of this product is that it is only $4.99 online or at Ulta.

Pixi Skin treats Glow Tonic:

I normally apply this before I moisturize. It is an exfoliating toner that smells very botanical. I love how it gives my skin a very natural and even glow. You can find this product at Target for $15.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer:

This moisturizer is oil free and fights acne. I use it because it keeps my skin clear and it clears up any breakout before they get worse. Not a product I’m in love with, but it does help out my skin a lot. You can also find this at Walmart for only $6.99.

Chapstick Total Hydration Fresh Peppermint Lip Scrub:

This product is Easy Peazy Lemon Squeezy and it leaves your lips so soft and ready for some lipstick.

My skin care routine is very simple and very affordable. This routine will not work for everybody because everyone has a different skin type, but some products might work for you and they might even work better than what they did for me. My skin care routine changes all the time and I am always finding products that I either hate or love and I am excited to share more about the products that I love, the ones I hate, and the ones that simple just work for me. Thank you guys for reading and until next time.
