Holiday Series: Winter Skin Care Routine

The last time I did a skin care routine, I believe was during the summer times and with it now being almost Christmas, I thought it would be only right to upload an updated winter-time skin care routine.

When I was in high school I used to have extremely dry skin, which amazes me that recently I have actually had the opposite situation going on. I have switched my routine around some and tried some new products that have helped balance my skin from either being too oily or too dry and catered more to the skin type I have developed recently.

Bliss fab foaming:

This is a 2-IN-1 cleanser and exfoliator with bamboo buffers that help keep your skin clean from makeup and grime. It makes my face feel smoother and more fresh and it smells amazing. It is also oil-free and gentle on my skin. It is cruelty-free and vegan.

Bliss In The Honey Mask:

Lets talk about this mask! I love masks and I find them super fun to apply, but let me tell you that so far this is one of my favorite ones! The sweet smell of honey soothes my whole being, not to mention that it leaves my skin so soft and radiant for the rest of the day. This Is a perfect winter skin care essential because it is meant to help mend dull or patchy skin, especially during the cooler months of the year. This product is also cruelty-free. It is recommended to apply 2-3 times a week and I have scheduled to apply it on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Burt’s Bees Daily Moisturizing Cream:

Moisturizing is an important step in a winter-skin care routine and it is crucial that you do it right. Over-moisturizing or using products that don’t go well with your skin type can lead to troubles in achieving that natural, clean glow. I like this moisturizer because it is meant for sensitive skin and doesn’t cause any irritation, but it leaves my skin feeling hydrated through the harsh cold weather.

L’Oreal Paris Hydrafresh Toner:

I love toners because they keep my skin tone even throughout the winter months. I don’t have a favorite toner because all of the ones I have used get the job done, but this is the one I am currently working on. What I like about this one is that it is hydrating and it’s alcohol-free.

Revitalizing Rose Mist:

I try to always have some facial mist on hand. I don’t use it all the time, but I feel that it is a good way to keep my face fresh throughout the day and it offers some hydration as well.

As you can tell, winter time for me is all about keeping my skin hydrated. Even though I have a tendency of getting a bit oily, I know that the dry cold winter weather can still do some damage. All of the products I have mentioned are new products I have recently started using and so far I enjoy them all. All these items should be available at your local Target or Ulta or online and they are pretty affordable.
